I was asked to make a muscle arm cake. Looking at the sample picture that was e-mailed to me, the first thought i had was. "I can't do that" and then after looking at the picture some more and planning i decided to take on the challenge. The picture had more detail than my end result but i was very happy with the result. I was very worried about how I would cover the cake with fondant when it has so many angles. I baked a two layer 12x16 red velvet cake, after icing the two layers together I drew the template on wax paper and used it as a guide to cut out the shape of the arm. I then put the cake in the fridge to firm it up before doing the final shaping.
